United Church News will cease publishing its free newsprint edition later this year and move to online delivery of denominational news. According to the Office of General Ministries, this decision was made necessary by “skyrocketing costs for the newspaper’s production. Postage and printing costs have more than doubled during the past five years.â€
In Spring 2010, the UCC’s communications staff hopes to launch a new, twice-a-year, magazine-format publication that will be mailed to members’ homes by subscription.
