"Pray without ceasing!" The challenge comes from scripture. Almost every week, someone in our congregation requests our prayers on behalf of persons in the family, friends, or circumstances in daily living. We use the prayer/care line for guiding the prayers for people in our congregation and their immediate families.
The prayer list in the bulletin guides our prayers for anyone: a family member, a friend, a group of people. Sometimes full names are used; sometimes only first names are given to protect confidentiality. Our office staff compiles the prayer list. Please be sure your friend or loved one wishes to have their name on the published list. People will be on the prayer list for three weeks; at the end of that time it is incumbent upon you to let us know if your friend or loved one is in continued need of prayers.
