Our Sunday, April 18th, the Outreach and Deacons boards will be conducting their third “Food Drive” pickup.  The recipient of this food drive will be one of our newest Organizations, Veterans Base Camp in Chaplin CT, where your donation will go to help feed veterans and their families that are in need.

It’s very simple to make a donation, simply send an email to
wacc.outreach@gmail.com with:

Name
Address
Location where you will leave the food (i.e. back porch, by the garage, etc.).

Then on SUNDAY, April 18th, make sure the food is in its place by 1:00, and a member of the Outreach or Deacon board will be swinging by your house between 1 – 3 pm to pick up the food.  Let’s see if we can top the 20 families that participated in our last Drive in February!
Once you send the email, you will receive a confirmation email that it was received, and then a day or two before you will receive a reminder email to leave your food out.
So, please consider on your next trip to the grocery store, or your next food delivery, adding some additional non-perishable items to donate to Veterans Base Camp.  Gifts of Love.  While any non-perishable items will be graciously accepted, the following items are suggestions
Toiletries items: Toothpaste, Bath Soap, Shampoo, razors, deodorant, and lotion.
Non-perishable food items:  Any will graciously be accepted, popular items are peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, macaroni and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, canned vegetables, cereal, canned tuna,  and soup.

We thank you in advance for your donations!

Bible Study is meeting on the first and third Tuesday nights of the month at 7 p.m. on Zoom. On April 20th, we will continue to study the Gospel of Mark. "The Gospel of Mark depicts a Jesus of good news—and urgent challenge. The clever author of this gospel masterfully weaves together episodes that encourage attentive reading, especially if we want to understand more about the audience that first heard this book. Understood to be the earliest of the four canonical gospels, Mark offers an uncluttered yet vivid narrative. This story of good news, challenge, and literary delight makes the Gospel of Mark a wonderful book to read together in community.”

Each week it will be helpful to view the short online video and read the brief study guide. It is not required. Course materials can be found here:
