The online Bible Study is meeting on the first and third Tuesday nights of the month at 7 p.m. on Zoom. On March 2nd and 16th we will be studying the Gospel of Mark. "The Gospel of Mark depicts a Jesus of good news—and urgent challenge. The clever author of this gospel masterfully weaves together episodes that encourage attentive reading, especially if we want to understand more about the audience that first heard this book. Understood to be the earliest of the four canonical gospels, Mark offers an uncluttered yet vivid narrative. This story of good news, challenge, and literary delight makes the Gospel of Mark a wonderful book to read together in community.”

Please help GOL by donating food and other items for our neighbors and families dealing with hardships. They are in need of pasta, tomato sauce, canned fruit, and toiletries.  We will be holding Food Basket Sunday on the third Sunday of the month or you may drop items at their office located at 34 East Main Street in Avon. The American Red Cross is in desperate need of blood donations. They are taking the necessary precautions due to Coronavirus concerns in their donating centers. They have a center in Farmington near UConn Health Center. It is located at 209 Farmington Avenue.
